COAST NATIONAL PARK (Incorporate
DAMARALAND AND THE KUNENE RIVER)
The
Skeleton Coast park extends from
the Ugab River in the south, for
500km to the Kunene River in the
North., covering an area of 16,400km2.
The attraction in this remote area
is in the colour and changing moods
of the landscape.The mystery is
due to the many shipwrecks, dense
coastal fogs and cold sea breezes
caused by the Benguela Current.
The landscape varies from dunes
to rugged canyons and extensive
mountain ranges.
Animals
on the plains range from jackals,
ostrich, brown hyena, as well as
desert-adapted elephant, black rhino,
lion and giraffe.

COAST CAMP
Skeleton Coast Camp has exclusive
use of about 600 000 acres of the
Skeleton Coast Park. This beautiful
area has everything from soaring
sand dunes to towering canyons and
mountains, saltpans, seal colonies
and shipwrecks. Freshwater springs
sustain animal life and guests can
view Springbok, Gemsbok, Desert
Elephant, Cape Fur Seals, Brown
hyeana, Jackal, Ostrich, Porcupine.
Giraffe Hartman's Mountain Zebra,
Black-faced Springbok and occasionally
Lion and cheetah. Camp has seven
luxury tented rooms with en suite
bathrooms, and there is an open
- air dining room under an ancient
leadwood tree. Breakfast is enjoyed
in camp and then guests are taken
into the park and surrounding countryside
for full rewarding days of game
viewing.

DAMARALAND
PALMWAG
RHINO CAMP (speciality at camp -
Black Rhino Tracking)
Palmwag Rhino camp is managed in
conjunction with the 'save the Rhino
trust"
Located in Northern Damaraland it
offers a brilliant insight into
the ecology and conservation of
this area while at the same time
contributing to the trust, The Rhino
conservation operations, as well
as the sustainability of the region.
A maximum of sixteen guests can
be accommodated in meru-style tents
with en suite facilities, including
bucket showers, hot water on call
and flush toilets. Activities are
game drives, night drives, birding,
guided walks and Black Rhino Tracking.
MOWANI
MOUNTAIN CAMP (TWYFELFONTEIN CONCERVANCY)
Located within the Twyfelfontein
Concervancy, Mowani Mountain Camp
is conveniently close to Twyfelfontein,
the Burnt Mountain and the Organ
Pipes.
The thatch and dome structures of
the camp echo the shape of the rough-textured
granite builders amongst which they
are built, creating an ambience
of African Village, a theme complemented
by wood carvings and artefacts.
The main complex consist of a reception
area, bar, dining room and lounge
overlooking a waterhole where elephant
and other animals come to drink.
Accommodation consist of twelve
luxury East-African style en suite
safari tents, on raised wooden platforms,
each with a canvas veranda and splendid
view over the Aba-Huab Valley.
DAMARALAND
CAMP
Located 90 kilometres from Namibia's
Skeleton Coast and intergrates communities,
the environment and wildlife. The
camp is within the Torra Conservancy
and enjoys endless vistas across
stark plains, ancient valleys and
soaring peaks. Guests can see Desert
Elephant, Black Rhino, Oryx, Kudu,
Springbok whilst lion and cheetah
move to and from the area. Bird
enthusiast will delight in seeing
Monteiros Hornbill and many more
rare species. Accommodation consist
of nine guest rooms and a family
room - in meru -style walk in tents
with en suite bathroom facilities.
The main living area combines the
dining room, lounge and pub under
canvas. An open campfire and outdoor
boma are enjoyed during calm evenings.
The camp boasts a natural rock swimming
pool. Activities are game and nature
drives, night drives, birding, guided
walks, whilst other amenities are
a swimming pool and mountain biking.
THE
KUNENE RIVER
SERRA
CAFEMA
Camp is located in the extreme north-west
of Namibia and gets its Portuguese
name from the mountains to the north
that dominates the skyline.. The
camp is built within an island of
ancient Albida trees on the banks
of the Kunene River and shares the
area with the Himba people, some
of the last true nomadic people
in Africa. The Kunene River is the
only permanent source of water in
the region. Accommodation consist
of seven tents, raised off the ground,
with en suite bathroom facilities.
Camp also has a pub, dining room
and pool. One of the rooms is a
family room. Activities are nature
drives, guided walks, quad bike
rides, boating, fishing, swimming.
There is so much to do at this camp,
that our suggestion is for a minimum
three night stay.

a transfer has been scheduled at
additional cost (we will arrange)
at the end of the safari, guests

1300 if the safari ends on Ongava
- Etosha.
If the safari ends in Sossusvlei
(i.e. travelling in reverse direction)
guests will be back in Windhoek
by 0930 the safari is usually accommodated
at Ongava Tented Camp in Etosha,
but certain departures may use Ongava
Lodge.

Activities are game drives into
Etosha and \ or game drives on the
Ongava Reserve, in hides or on foot.
Rhino tracking on the reserve on
foot is a speciality offered.
