Experience a nostalgic

Of a pure game viewing adventure reminiscent
of the great African explorers.
Spacious walk - in
hexagonal meru-style tents creates a
sense of connectedness to the Earth
and nature, enhancing the view and feeling
of the wild and the untamed.
Flowing linen of heavy pure cottons,
brass bucket showers and basins. Separate
flushing toilets and shower areas all
add to the atmosphere, while luxury
comforts and amendments are available,
including a bush laundry service.
These guided mobile
safaris takes time to experience and
explore Botswana's contrasts and extremes
from the waterless and strange landscape
of the Kalahari Desert to the lushly
vegetated wetlands of the Okavango Delta.

you will travel are private concessions.

The areas are not open to the public,

To maximise travel
time, a variety of travel modes, bringing
out the best of each area is used; flying
in private charters, overland transfers
and exclusive combination canoe-boat-land
transfers provide an in depth experience
of the contrasting landscapes of Botswana.
Seasonality ; advantage
is taken of the seasons, so as to provide
the best in wildlife viewing on an annual
basis. Therefor, at Ketumetse and Linyanti
Trails Camps, a three night stay at
each is included to fully experience
the great diversity of each.
ITINERARY
DAY 1 & 2 SAN CAMP -MAKGADIKGADI
PANS - KALAHARI DESERT
On arrival at Maun airport, transfer
by light aircraft to San Camp, located
in a private Concession on the edge
of the great Makgadikgadi Pans in the
Kalahari Desert.
The saltpans are among the largest in
the world, part of a fossilised super-lake
that thrived aeons ago.
Surprisingly for such
a harsh, lunar - like environment, life
abounds, and brown Hyena, oryx and springbok
are just a few of the desert-adapted
species to be seen.
Activities include close encounters
with suricates (meerkats), an endearing
animal.
Experience phenomenal geology, quad
biking, authentic San (bushmen) cultural
walks or simply enjoy the wide open
spaces of the this ancient lakebed.
DAY 3 & 4 JACANA
CAMP, OKAVANGO DELTA
The Okavango Delta represents survival
at the other extreme - abundant water,
sunlight and soil combine to form a
paradise bursting with life. The contrast
becomes clear as your safari moves from
the desert to the delta, from dry sand
to a water world.
Transfer by light aircraft
from the Kalahari Desert to lush Jacana
Camp, located
In a permanently flooded region of the
private Jao concession of the Okavango
Delta. A true water camp, it represents
the essence of the Delta, offering year
round canoeing (mokoro) safaris as well
as island bush walks and water level
permitting,
Motorised boat cruises.
DAY 5, 6 & 7
KETUMETSI TRAILS CAMP - OKAVANGO DELTA
Transfer from the water world of the
Okavango Delta to the game rich plains
of Abu's concession. This transfer in
itself becomes an adventure, depending
on the Okavango flood level, a combination
of canoe(mokoro), motor boat and Land
Rover create a unique extended game
experience.
The premier campsite
used, with unique walk-in hexagonal
meru tents has been erected prior to
your arrival, under shade trees, incorporating
spectacular views of the floodplains.
Activities concentrate
on the open herd filled plains where
the seasonal congregations of wildlife
make the perfect setting for exclusive
day and night game drives and bush walks.
DAYS 8, 9. &
10 LINYANTI TRAILS CAMP CONCESSION
After a lidght breakfast transfer by
light aircraft to the private Linyanti
Concession.
Upon arrival tranfer by road to your
private Premier camp site, which is
elegantly set up under massive African
Ebony and Knobthorn Acacia trees, overlooking
panoramic vistas of the Linyanti Swamps.
The landscape changes
from the Okavango floodplains to savannah
habitat with sweeping views, creating
a paradise for the high diversity of
wildlife and bird species. The first
afternoon concentrates on exposure to
different plains game, such as roan
and sable antelope and predators - lion
and leopard - with the endangered wild
dog as an incredible bonus.
Activities include
game drives in the private northern
sector of the Linyanti, exploring a
range of habitats, from riverbanks to
scrub and forest, which reveal a myriad
of game en route. The seldom seen sitatunga
can also be spotted in the waterways.
There is also a game
drive to a private deck for lunch, then
a siesta in hammocks and an afternoon
canoe trip - all before taking an evening
drive back to camp ! Canoeing is on
the linyanti River for an amazing close-up
view of the elephant herds.
To complete the experience,
on the third day, enjoy a full activity
to the Savuti Channel with lunch at
a private hide overlooking a waterhole.
The spectacular zebra migration moves
between Linyanti and the Savuti Marsh
through this area. As well as an impressive
diversity of mammals, including large
elephant herds. This day is specifically
tailored to enjoy the seasonal and migratory
movements of wildlife within the Linyanti
and Savuti systems.
DAY 11 CHOBE RIVER
BOAT CRUISE AND SUSSI LODGE ZAMBIA
After a short morning drive and breakfast,
depart by light aircraft to the northern
Chobe region of Chobe National Park.
This area is famous for it's vast herds
of elephant and other unique species
such as the elusive puku and Chobe bushbuck
that move to the river in the hottest
hours of the day. enjoy a boat cruise
in a catamaran-style shaded boat.
DAY 12 TRANSFER
TO LIVINGSTON AIRPORT
Enjoy a guided tour of the VictorA falls,
one of the seven Natural wonders of
the world. At 1708 metres wide, it is
the largest curtain of water in the
world and drops more than 100 metres
into the sheer Zambezi Gorge.
Transfer to Livingston
airport and bid farewell to your adventure.

Accommodation on safari
are in spacious Pioneer dome tents,
with pure cotton linen bedrolls and
duvets, on GI stretchers, teak bedside
table and silver lantern, with mini
luggage bencheds in each tent. Shared
separate toilet and shower bathrooms,
with old style bucket showers and basins
and all amenities creates simple service
comfort.
Guides on the entire
safari share their in depth knowledge
to present a seamless safari experience.
Total privacy and exclusivity
is ensured by travelling in private
concessions in pristine, prime game

The routes on the expedition
is specifically designed to enjoy the
Kalahari Desert at it's most productive
season, when it receives low sporadic
rains. The little water creates an incredibly
prolific wildlife viewing period with
concentrations of desert species and
their young in the fertile, ancient
river valleys of Deception Valley and
the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park.
The route takes the time to explore
the contrasts of three major ecosystems;
the Makgadikgadi "moonscape"
saltpans, Deceptions Valley in the Kalahari
Desert, and ending in the fertile green
islands of the Okavango Delta.

ITINERARY
DAY 1 & 2 NJUCA HILLS - MAKGADIKGADI
PANS (KALAHARI)
Depart this morning for Njuca Hills,
on the edge of the great Makgadikgadi
Pans
In the Kalahari desert. The saltpans
are among the largest in the world,
park of a super-lake fossilised ages
ago. The adventurer campsite is beautifully
positioned under shady trees on rare
hills with a superb view of the surrounding
plains.
Surprisingly, for such
a harsh landscape life abounds with
brown hyaena, oryx and springbok - to
mention a few of the desert adapted
species to be found.
Activities include game drives, concentrating
on the opportunistic birthings of desert
animals and the diverse array of birds,
including flamingos. In addition, the
seasonal wildebeest and zebra movements
provide great sightings at this time.
Experience the geology and simply enjoy
the open spaces and surrounding grassy
plains.
DAY 3, 4 & 5
DECEPTION VALLEY, CENTRAL KALAHARI GAME
RESERVE
After an early morning breakfast depart
overland to pre-erected private campsite
in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve.
This ancient riverbed,
flanked by petrified dune lands, is
most appealing after brief rains, as
it is covered with nutritious grasses
attracting herds from this enormous
reserve. These large congregations of
desert wildlife with their young are
followed by predators into the broad
riverbed - making for outstanding viewing.
On day 4, enjoy a full
day game viewing activity (with picnic
lunch) at the wildlife productive Pipers
Pans area of the Kalahari.
DAY 6 & 7 XIGERA
MOKORO TRAILS - OKAVANGO DELTA
After breakfast, depart overland to
Maun, from where transfer will be by
light aircraft
To the water-filled paradise of the
private Xigera area. Located within
the Moremi Reserve, it is the ultimate
delta experience - serene waters flowing
through innumerable channels around
remote islands and a profusion of plant
and wildlife.
Activities include
canoeing and walking safris, which enable
close encounters with the excellent
diversity of birdlife, including Pel's
fishing Owl, frogs and a myriad wildlife
species - some specially adapted to
water, as is the rare sitatunga and
the red lechwe.
DAY 8 LIGHT AIRCRAFT
TRANSFER OKAVANGO DELTA TO MAUN
After early game activity and breakfast,
fly to Maun where the safari ends.

PANS.
From Maun, transfer by light aircraft
to San Camp, located on a private concession
On the edge of the Makgadikgadi Pans
- Kalahari Desert.
Life abounds and brown
hayena, orux and springbok are but a
few of the deesrt - adapted Species
to be seen. Activities include game
drives, and experiencing the amazing
Geology, quad biking, authentic San
(bushmen) cultural walks and Stone Age
artefacts.
DAY 3 & 4 NXAI
PAN - NXAI PAN NATIONAL PARK
After early breakfast depart overland
to the pre-elected private Adventurer
campsite in the Nxai Pan National Park,
stopping for lunch en route at the famous
Baines Baobabs, which Thomas Baines
painted on his 1800's expedition.
These pans are fossilised,
covered with short nutritious grasses
and accasia trees, creating wildlife-rich
areas surrounded by vegetated dune savannahs.
Extensive game drives explore the surrounding
pans, with an excellent chance to view
spectacular
Dry season predator and prey action
at the waterhole.
DAY 5 & 6 XIGERA
MOKORO (CANOE) TRAIL - OKAVANGO DELTA
Arrive back in Maun and transfer by
light aircraft to Xigera - a water filled
private paradise located in the Moremi
Game reserve. Xigera is the ultimate
delta experience, with serene waters
flowing through innumerable channels
around remote islands and a profusion
of plant and animal life.
There is no better
way to experience the Okavango Delta
than by mokoro (canoe), walking and
camping out on some of it's green island
- all essential elepments of the Xigera
experience.
Activities include
mokoro and walking safaris, which enable
close encounters with the diversity
of birdlife a myriad game species, such
as sitatunga and red lechwe.
DAY 7 OKAVANGO DELTA
TO MAUN
After early morning activity and breakfast,
tranfer by light aircraft to Maun where
the safari ends.
